Disney Distilled Episode #16

Greetings Distillers! The Disney Distilled Podcast is back for your listening (and drinking) pleasure.

Mac & Ryan are with you once again to drink their way through some Disney News and some great Listener Questions!

To get us through this episode, we turn to the Lost On Safari- a specialty drink from Animal Kingdom’s Yak & Yeti Restaurant Bar.

Ingredients:

1 part Captain Morgan Spiced rum, 1 part Bacardi rum, 4 parts  Pangani Punch (3 parts Dole Pineapple Orange Strawberry juice and 1 part cranberry juice)

Add Captain Morgan, Bacardi and Pangani Punch to a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into glass.

We have a lot of news to cover to make up for lost time, so it’s a whirlwind tour of Disneyland, California Adventure, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs, and Epcot- all before coming back to Universal Studios and the Pacific Northwest (for some #CipherHunt!

Disney Distilled Episode #13

Greetings Distillers! It’s Disney Distilled lucky Episode #13 here for your enjoyment!

This week, your hosts Mac & Ryan are flying solo- but are definitely feeling the love of our featured cocktail the world famous Backscratcher from the Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Villiage Resort!

Ingredients:

1pt Bacardi Superior Rum
1pt Myers’ Original Dark Rum
5pt Passion Fruit juice mix
1pt Jack Daniels topper

Mix Barcadi, Myers’ and passion fruit juice into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into glass over ice. Top with Jack Daniels. Garnish with pineapple slice and wooden backscratcher.

This time, we’re discussing news from Walt Disney World’s “Awaken Summer” press event, Magic Kingdom early and late entry events, a new way to get tipsy at the Tower of Terror, Disney bringing Marvel to Disney’s California Adventure, and D23 2017.

Disney Distilled Episode #12

Greetings Distillers! We are back again with another booze and news session of Disney Distilled!

Joining us as guest-hosts for this post-St. Patrick’s Day show are podcasters The Nerd Lys! In addition to being hugely into the many worlds of geek culture, Chris and Rachel are big Disney fans- on par with your hosts! The Ly’s are great folk and you should check out their weekly podcast right away!

Our featured cocktail this time is in honor of the Irish holiday- the Celtic Twilight Cocktail from O’Gill’s Pub onboard the Disney Fantasy!

Celtic Twilight Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 & 1/2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
¾ oz Pernod Anise
1 oz Noilly Prat Vermouth
Dash of Angostura bitters

Combine ingredients in glass with ice, stir. Garnish with citrus.

Disney Distilled Episode #11

For Episode #11, we took a road trip to the City By The Bay- San Francisco- and met up with Guest-Host Lee Presson, Disney fanatic and musical maestro of Lee Presson and the Nails!

Rye Whiskey

Soda Water

Ginger Ale

Combine ingredients in glass with ice, stir. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with cherries.

Lee is a Bay area local who not only digs Disney in a big way, but is also the leader of the popping-est swing band you’ll ever set ears on! A brief sample of their style is featured in this very episode! (A Disney staple, of course!) Welcome back, Distillers! It’s Episode #9 of the Disney Distilled Podcast!

Our first episode of 2016, and from our brief end-of-year hiatus has us enjoying a Saratoga Cocktail from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort in Walt Disney World!

The Saratoga Cocktail is famous the world over- not just the Disney World!

Ingredients:
1 oz Maker’s Mark Bourbon
1 oz E&J Brandy
1 oz sweet vermouth

Directions:
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Greetings and Salutations, Distillers! Welcome to Episode #8 of the Disney Distilled Podcast!

1 oz Gin
1 oz Midori
1 oz white cranberry juice
Garnish: purple sugar, gummy worm, marshmallow ghost

Directions:
Rim glass with sugar, combine ingredients into shaker with ice & pour into martini glass. Garnish with gummy worm & marshmallow ghost

This time, we are joined by our guest (g)host, Miss Chrissy Lynn– special effects make-up and hair stylist supreme! She joins us just in time for some spooky reviews of local Southern California theme park Haunts- including Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland!

Lastly, we start our recurring segment of Dining Distilled- reviews of Disney restaurants, beginning with Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney Distilled Episode #7

Disney Distilled has returned from a trek around Disney’s world with news from far off lands- and a bit of a hangover!

This episode’s Featured Drink is: The Pear Martini (formerly) from Walt Disney World (recipe from PartyThroughTheParks.com)

The Pear Martini – now a part of Yesterland’s bar menu.

Ingredients:

1 ounce Hendrick’s Gin
1 ounce Glenfiddich 12yr
1 ounce Monin Pear Syrup
1 Simple Syrup made with Agave Nectar
0.5 Lemon Juice

Directions:

Pour ingredients over ice in a shaker and add the juice from half a lemon. Shake, strain and serve in a martini glass.
