Disney Distilled Episode #24

Greetings Distillers! From the dog days of summer, Episode #24 of Disney Distilled brings you Disney booze and news that you can use!

The Dill Gin & Tonic, served here in a very non-traditional way, can be found on the menu at the Carthay Circle Lounge!

This episode, we head back to Disney California Adventure- to the Carthay Circle Lounge for a Dill Gin & Tonic!

Ingredients:

2 oz. gin
1⁄2 oz. pickle brine
3 oz. tonic
Dill frond, for garnish
Lemon twist, for garnish

Directions:

Combine 2 oz. gin and ½ oz. pickle brine in a rocks glass over 1 large ice cube; top with 3 oz. tonic. Garnish with dill frond, and lemon twist.

Since we are a bit behind on Disney news- we’re choosing to use this episode to cover the D23 Disney Parks and Resorts panel announcements and then discuss the heated subject of the changes being made to the Pirates of the Caribbean Auction Scene.

Disney Distilled Episode #23

Greetings Distillers! Your hosts Mac & Ryan are back from a long hiatus with a brand new episode of Disney Distilled!

Our featured drink this time has us leaving Disney property for a trip to Universal Studios Florida for a Shark Attack!

Ingredients:

1&½ oz Malibu coconut rum
½ oz blue curacao
½ oz pineapple juice
dash of grenadine
Sprite

Directions:

Mix Malibu, Curacao and pinapple juice with ice and shake. Pour into a collins glass, add a dash of grenadine and top with Sprite.

This episode, we have news from Pandora, the world of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, new and exciting developments in the construction for Star Wars land, and even some interesting developments for possible new attractions at Universal Studios!

1oz Amaretto
4oz Cherry Soda

Directions:

Pour into rocks glass over ice and garnish with 2 cherries.

Disney Distilled Episode #19

Greetings Distillers! Your hosts Mac & Ryan have finally returned after a grueling October to once again combine booze and Disney news for your listening pleasure.

Our featured drink celebrates the creepy motif of Halloween- This Chilling Challenge from Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar! Be warned however, the recipe we have may not be 100% accurate, as the drink came and went very quickly!

This Chilling Challenge was served in this limited edition Hitchhiking Ghosts tiki mug.

Ingredients:

Smith & Cross Rum
1oz Pineapple juice
1/2oz Lime Juice
1/4oz Honey syrup
1/4oz Ginger syrup
2 dashes Bitters
1 eyedropper Perond

Directions:

Combine ingredients in mixing glass with ice and shake. Pour into cocktail glass with ice.

For this episode we cover some news from Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, some interesting stuff happening at Sea World Orlando, Knott’s Berry Farm in California, and some entertaining news about everyone’s favorite rugrats, the Muppet Babies!

Disney Distilled Episode #17

Greetings Distillers! Disney Distilled is back with more news and booze from around the world- and more Listener Questions from #AskTheDistillery.

We’re excited by our featured drink this time- an inspired cocktail anticipating the 45th Anniversary of Walt Disney World- the Sapphire Collins!

Ingredients:

2oz Bombay Sapphire Gin, Juice of 1/2 lemon, 2oz soda water, 2tsp sugar, lemon wedge, ice.

Add lemon juice and sugar to a tall glass & stir until sugar is dissolved. Add gin and then fill glass with ice and stir. Top with soda water and stir once more. Garnish with lemon wedge. (Sapphire glow cubes optional!)

This week, your hosts Mac & Ryan are flying solo- but are definitely feeling the love of our featured cocktail the world famous Backscratcher from the Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Villiage Resort!

Baackscratchaa! Baackscratchaa here! (actual backscratcher garnish not seen here)

Ingredients:

1pt Bacardi Superior Rum
1pt Myers’ Original Dark Rum
5pt Passion Fruit juice mix
1pt Jack Daniels topper

Mix Barcadi, Myers’ and passion fruit juice into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into glass over ice. Top with Jack Daniels. Garnish with pineapple slice and wooden backscratcher.

This time, we’re discussing news from Walt Disney World’s “Awaken Summer” press event, Magic Kingdom early and late entry events, a new way to get tipsy at the Tower of Terror, Disney bringing Marvel to Disney’s California Adventure, and D23 2017.

Our featured cocktail this time is in honor of the Irish holiday- the Celtic Twilight Cocktail from O’Gill’s Pub onboard the Disney Fantasy!

Celtic Twilight Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 & 1/2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
¾ oz Pernod Anise
1 oz Noilly Prat Vermouth
Dash of Angostura bitters

Combine ingredients in glass with ice, stir. Garnish with citrus.
