Disney Distilled Episode #26

Greetings Distillers! Your hosts Mac & Ryan are back from their world travels to bring you booze and news (and reviews) from the Far East!

Our featured cocktail for this episode is the Sakura Gin & Tonic!

The Sakura liqueur we found in Tokyo makes for a delightful addition to the standard Gin & Tonic!

Ingredients:

3oz Gin
4oz Tonic Water
2oz Sakura blossom liqueur
Maraschino cherries

Directions:

Combine gin, tonic water and liqueur over ice. Garnish with Maraschino cherry.

Disney Distilled Episode #14 (Part 2)

Greetings Distillers! As promised, here is part 2 of our celebration of World Showcase with our Guest Host (and mixologist) Damien!

Picking up where we left off- it’s straight from China to the African Outpost… wait- that’s not a real pavilion! But that’s not going to stop us from enjoying a special cocktail!

Speaking of cocktails, here are more images and recipes for our second part of our first leg of the World Showcase:

African Flower
African Flower: 2oz Bourbon, .5oz Amaro CioCiaro, .5 oz Crème de Cacao, 2 dashes Orange bitters, 1 twst Orange peel – Combine with ice in mixing glass and stir. Strain into cocktail coupe. Garnish with orange peel or twist

 

Radler - Germany
Radler: Half blonde German lager, Half sparkling lemonade*

 

Negroni - Italy
Negroni: 1 oz Gin, 1 oz sweet vermouth ( we used Carpano antica), 1 oz Campari – Stir with ice in mixing glass strain into rocks glass with ice or up in a cocktail coupe neat. Garnish with orange peel.

 

Golden Dream - The American Adventure
Golden dream 1 oz Galiano, 1 oz cointreau, 1 oz Fresh Orange Juice, .5 oz cream or half and half – Shake all ingredients together with ice. Strain into cocktail coupe.

 

We had a really great time recording this episode- and not just because we were very inebriated! We will definitely be finishing our tour around Epcot’s World Showcase in the near future. Let us know if you have an tips on your favorite international cocktails!

Disney Distilled Episode #7

Disney Distilled has returned from a trek around Disney’s world with news from far off lands- and a bit of a hangover!

This episode’s Featured Drink is: The Pear Martini (formerly) from Walt Disney World (recipe from PartyThroughTheParks.com)

Pear Martini
The Pear Martini – now a part of Yesterland’s bar menu.

Ingredients:

1 ounce Hendrick’s Gin
1 ounce Glenfiddich 12yr
1 ounce Monin Pear Syrup
1 Simple Syrup made with Agave Nectar
0.5 Lemon Juice

Directions:

Pour ingredients over ice in a shaker and add the juice from half a lemon. Shake, strain and serve in a martini glass.

Disney Distilled Episode #3

Disney Distilled is back with Episode #3 for all your Zip-a-dee Booze-Ah needs!

Our Featured Drink for this episode is: Dad’s Electric Lemonade from Tune-In Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World! (recipe from ACupOfDisney.com)

Dad's Electric Lemonade
Our take on Dad’s Electric Lemonade!
Ingredients:

1.5 oz Bacardi rum,
1.5 oz Skyy vodka,
.5 oz blue curacao,
2 oz sweet and sour mix
2 oz Sprite
Garnish with a wedge of lemon

Directions:
Pour all of the ingredients EXCEPT Sprite into a beverage shaker filled with ice. Shake it up and serve in a high ball glass neat or over ice. Top with the Sprite. Add lemon wedge for garnish.

We cover a lot of ground this time, from women bearing cats to reappearing/disappearing ghosts, to surveys about ticket prices. We even get in some talk about Universal Orlando!

So, serve up your beverage of choice and enjoy the show!
